Bumsoo Kim,
President and Chief Executive Officer

Bumsoo Kim co-founded Indilinx in 2006 and has served as its President and CEO since its inception. He has more than a decade of groundbreaking NAND flash development experience, having founded and managed Samsung Electronics' NAND flash software development group. Bumsoo holds 22 patents related to NAND flash memory management, which include innovations in NAND flash control algorithms, flash-aware operating systems and file systems, data recovery, and wear leveling.

Prior to co-founding Indilinx, Bumsoo held executive and senior management positions at Hyundai IT and Samsung Electronics and was a research specialist at IBM's prestigious Thomas J. Watson Research Center. Bumsoo earned his BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University and had completed his PhD coursework before being recruited to lead Samsung's flash memory software initiatives.
Hyunmo Chung
Chief Technology Officer

Hyunmo Chung co-founded Indilinx in 2006 and has served as its CTO since its inception. He has over 10 years of software engineering experience specializing in NAND flash-based storage devices, operating systems, file systems, and memory management. He combines a range of deep expertise from the operating system down to the semiconductor memory with a highly integrative approach to storage architecture design, enabling the achievement of truly optimized SSD controllers and NAND flash-based storage subsystems.

Prior to co-founding Indilinx, Hyunmo held software engineering positions at Samsung Electronics Software Center and Memory Division, where he led the development of the highest speed flash memory cards on the market. Hyunmo earned his BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
Geonyoung Hong
Vice President, Software Engineering

Geonyoung joined Indilinx in 2008 and serves as its VP of Software Engineering. He has 14 years of experience developing system software for servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment. Drawing from his broad expertise with numerous system architectures, Geonyoung leads the specification and development of all reference designs and custom solutions in addition to overseeing software engineering.

Prior to joining Indilinx, Geonyoung has held senior engineering and technical lead positions within several divisions of Samsung Electronics, including its Computer, Digital Solution Center, and System LSI divisions. Geonyoung earned his BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
Soogil Jeong
Vice President, Hardware Engineering

Soogil joined Indilinx in 2008 and serves as its Vice President of Hardware Engineering. He has 15 years of design and verification experience with multi-threaded microprocessors, northbridge chipsets, and A/V decoders. As a technical lead for AMD's next-generation CPU core, Soogil brings extensive expertise developing advanced processors optimized for performance, scalability, and power efficiency.

Prior to joining Indilinx, Soogil held technical and project lead positions at AMD and has held research and engineering positions at LG Electronics and API Networks. Soogil earned his BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
Andy Yang
Vice President, Product Management

Andy joined Indilinx in 2010 and serves as its Vice President of Product Management. He has 20 years of marketing and engineering experience spanning semiconductor, enterprise storage, and cloud computing industries. Andy previously led Samsung's highly successful strategic marketing effort to proliferate NAND flash memories into then-emerging markets such as digital cameras, multimedia players, smartphones, and solid state drives.

Prior to joining Indilinx, Andy has held marketing, engineering, and product management positions at Samsung Electronics, Tandem Computers, and Thinkfree. Andy earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley and earned his MBA from Columbia University.
